Our Story

Our History
Schofields Public School has served the community of Schofields from 1919 when the first school was opened in a local hall.
In 1923 the school was opened on its current site and it has grown from the small timber building of two classrooms, which is still used today, to a school with modern facilities.

School Pledge
As the future generation of Australians we will work together to make those who come into our school feel welcome, safe and happy.
We will treat people with respect and kindness, knowing that this is how we build a great nation.
We will try hard in everything we do, knowing that, with sacrifice and perseverance, we will achieve success.

School Song
Blue are the heavens. Red is the sand,
White is the surf upon the sea-
The stars are the emblems of our territories and states,
And that's what our flag means to me.
The southern cross shines down on our great Australian land,
Forever our guardian in the sky.
In the darkest nights, see the stars are burning bright,
In the day see our flag flying high.
Green is our colour, gold is too.
We have a nice school to see.
Success is in our hands, we are proud to say,
And that's what our school means to me.
The golden sun shines down on Schofields Public School,
A place of mixed colours and creeds.
All the girls and boys, their successes and their joys,
It's a very nice place to be.

House Teams
The whole school is divided into four houses:
Emus (green)
Kookaburras (blue)
Cockatoos (red)
Magpies (gold)
House teams compete at Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics' Carnivals each year.
