Schofields Public School enjoys a strong sense of community with teachers, parents and children all learning and working together to create a successful learning climate throughout the school.
We are fortunate to have wonderful grounds and a very pleasant environment that is cared for by the children through our environmental club with the assistance of staff and community.
The school caters for all children from Kindergarten to Year 6 and offers a balanced program inclusive of all key learning areas. We encourage the children to join in all our sporting programs with the school participating in inter-school competitions through the Primary School Sports Association. We are also well represented in athletics, swimming and cross country at district and regional levels. Our school carnivals are well attended by the community and students and the house competition is very keenly contested each year between the Emus, Kookaburras, Magpies and Cockatoos.
Our arts programs are well supported with children given the opportunity to join the choir and dance groups.
Schofields Public School has strong leadership programs for children to become involved in including the Student Representative Council, Peer Support, Year 6 Leaders and the Captains program.
Our students are encouraged to take pride in their school, have high expectations of themselves, do their best in all aspects of their school life and to build positive relationships with each other and their teachers through respect and caring for each other.
As our school song says, in many ways, Schofields “is a very nice place to be!”
