As you are aware, Schofields Public School was non-operational for on-campus learning, Wednesday 26 August 2020 and Thursday 27 August 2020, as a precautionary measure pending confirmation of a COVID-19 test result.
NSW Health have confirmed that the person has tested negative and therefore there is no action required by the school community.
The school has been thoroughly cleaned and will resume on-campus learning tomorrow, Friday 28 August 2020.
While we recognise this has been disruptive and inconvenient for many families it is important that we follow NSW Health advice and take all necessary precautions to minimize the risk of further transmission to support our community.
The school will be vigilant in implementing infection control procedures, including daily cleaning in accordance with normal protocols, the promotion of healthy hygiene habits, and will continue to make hand sanitiser available for staff and students to use while at school.
The safety and wellbeing of our staff and students are of paramount importance to us at all times. As such we will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure that all necessary health advice is adhered to.
